Glaisin Alainn — or "lovely meadow" as it translates from Irish — is the latest addition to the Kilcoe Cottage family. Sitting on the waterfront in Foilnamuck near Ballydehob with glorious views over Roaring Water Bay, this home is the quintessential haven for those looking for peace and quiet accompanied by luxury and comfort.
The Main House
Laid out in two stone-built contemporary West Cork houses, Glaisin Alainn sleeps eight adults or groups of up to twelve. The main house has three large bedrooms in total, the master being en-suite, and a family bathroom and downstairs loo.
The conservatory overlooking the water provides a stunning living and dining space, with a mezzanine featuring a pull-out sofa for two. There is a further living room with large flat screen TV and fireplace, and a fabulous fully equipped kitchen with dining table.
A deck with hot tub for six to eight wraps around the main house with fabulous views and access to the kitchen, master bedroom and conservatory.
The self contained studio has a kitchen, super-king size bed and pull-out sofa, a mezzanine level sleeping two children and bathroom with claw-foot tub. There is an additional shower room in an outbuilding, alongside the sauna.
Booking Information
Glaisin Alainn is rented Saturday to Saturday in high season (mid-June through August), with a one week minimum stay. Off season minimum stay is four nights. Everything is included except heating oil.
